Annual Increase in Employment Tribunal Compensation Limits

Every year the Government reviews and adjusts the compensation limits awarded in the Employment Tribunal. This takes effect from 6 April each year.

This year’s compensation limit increases are:

•             cap on a week’s pay (basic award / redundancy payment) – £571 (from £544)

•             maximum compensatory award – £93,878 (from £89,493)

The new limits will take effect on 6 April 2022 and apply to all dismissals on or after that date.
