Nockolds Instructed to Advise Firm in Relation to Departure of Senior Executive

Nockolds have been instructed to advise an international professional services firm in relation to the departure of one of their senior executives.

The executive had been with the firm for over 20 years and had strong relationships with many of the firm’s clients. Unfortunately however the executive had fallen out with much of the remaining executive team and their position had become increasingly untenable with them refusing to comply with senior management instructions or even to attend executive meetings.

Nockolds’ team of specialist Employment and Corporate Lawyers were able to advise the firm’s leadership team on the terms of exit including in relation to the individual’s employment and share options. We were able to negotiate favourable terms including the preservation of the individual’s restrictive covenants to help protect the firm’s client base and prevent the individual from working with those clients going forward.

We worked closely with the firm’s PR Team to help ensure that the departure was seen positively (from the firm’s and the individual’s perspective) in the press and online. Nockolds Professional Services Team regularly advise professional services businesses such as law firms, accountancy practices and financial advisers on the departure of senior executives.
