The Employment Rights Bill: What Employers Should be Doing to Prepare

Nockolds Business Hub: A Series of Business Legal Advice Seminars

We are delighted to invite you to the latest seminar in our Nockolds Business Hub series. The seminar will be held on Tuesday 11 February from 12pm - 1pm, where Rachel Davis and Katie Harris will be discussing: 'The Employment Rights Bill: What Employers Should be Doing to Prepare'.

The Employment Rights Bill is seen as the biggest shake up in employment legislation in a generation. We will be discussing the following key proposals so that you know what to expect when new legislation is rolled out and what steps your business should be taking to prepare:

  1. Day One Right to Unfair Dismissal
  2. Changes to Flexible Working rights
  3. Increased protection from Harassment
  4. ‘Ban’ on Zero-Hour Contracts

Although we can expect further consultation and legislation before change is implemented in practice, employers should be aware that there is plenty they can be doing to prepare. Employers should start now to ensure they have sufficient time to consider the options available and put them in practice before the reforms formally come into effect.
