The Government has today confirmed the increases to the National Minimum Wage which will take effect from 1 April 2025:

  • 21 and over – will rise from £11.44 to £12.21 an hour
  • 18-20 – will rise from £8.60 to £10 an hour
  • Apprentices – will rise from £6.40 to £7.55 an hour

These are significant increases and in particular for those aged under 21s. The Government has already indicated that it wishes to move towards a single rate for all adults and this is the first step in achieving that goal.
