Nockolds is proud to announce the promotion of 10 staff members, including four new Partners, a Legal Director and five Principal Associates, reflecting the firm’s ongoing growth.
Oliver Budiño, Nicola Lindop, John Stigwood and Lucy Slatter have joined the firm’s Partnership.
Oliver Budiño will be the second Partner in our Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team, alongside Sarah Lockyer. Oliver, has a wealth of experience in advising all clients, including high net-worth individuals and international clients, in relation to their wills and estate/succession planning. Oliver is qualified as a Trust and Estate Practitioner with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) holding a Diploma in Trusts and Estates (England and Wales) and an Advanced Certificate in UK Taxation for International Clients.
Nicola Lindop will be the second Partner in our Corporate and Commercial team heading our Bishop’s Stortford office, alongside James Brunton. Nicola advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations and shareholders’ agreements.
John Stigwood of our Commercial Property team has experience in dealing with a broad range of commercial property matters advising both individuals and companies. John will be the second Partner in our Commercial Property team, alongside James Griffiths.
Lucy Slatter will be the Partner heading up our Commercial and Property Litigation team and has experience comprising a broad spectrum of commercial, insolvency and property disputes. Lucy has been listed in the Legal 500 (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024) as a recommended lawyer in Commercial Litigation.
Jayne Kendrick Jones has been promoted to Legal Director as she continues to head our Risk and Compliance department. Jayne is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. Jayne was instrumental in the firm’s attainment of the Law Society’s Lexcel accreditation and its continuing award.
In addition to appointing new Partners and Legal Directors, Nockolds has proudly promoted Kirstie Philpott, Megan Wickens, Adam Dunkley, Mahza Pari and George Burton to the role of Principal Associates.
Kirstie Philpott is in our Residential Property team and deals with all conveyancing matters from initial instructions to post-completion. Kirstie specialises in new build purchases and has a vast legal knowledge in the conveyancing of a brand new property.
Megan Wickens sits in the Commercial Property team at Nockolds and excels in providing a full spectrum of commercial property expertise on large and medium-sized corporate transactions.
Adam Dunkley handles all aspects of private Family Law including financial settlements, protection from domestic abuse, arrangements for children, cohabitation agreements and separation of unmarried couples. Adam has been listed in the 2023 & 2024 Legal 500 edition as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’.
Mahza Pari has been with Nockolds since 2017 and sits in our Residential Property team in London. Mahza advises on a range of residential matters and her specialist areas include Sales and Purchases, Remortgages, Transfers of Equity and Buy-To-Let Transactions.
George Burton is in our Commercial and Property Litigation team and deals with a wide variety of commercial and property related disputes and has a particular interest in matters of professional negligence. George has been listed in the 2020, 2022, 2023 & 2024 Legal 500 edition as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’.
