Nockolds Solicitors is proud to join over 4,000 organisations who have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a promise to support those who serve or have served in the military and their families.
The Armed Forces Covenant is an agreement between the armed forces community, the nation and the government that members of the armed forces and their families should be treated fairly in the provision of public and commercial services, including:
- Education and family wellbeing
- Housing
- Starting a new career
- Access to healthcare
As part of its commitment, the firm seeks to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:
- Promoting that it is an armed forces-friendly organisation
- Supporting the employment of service spouses and partners
- Offering flexibility in granting leave for service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment; and
- Supporting employees who choose to be members of the reserve forces, including by accommodating their training and deployment where possible.
Managing Partner, Darren Hayward, who signed the covenant on behalf of Nockolds Solicitors, commented: ‘We’re delighted to support the armed forces personnel through our pledge, and consider it incredibly important that those who serve or have served our country and their families, are treated with the same fairness we would give to any of our employees.’
More information on the covenant can be found on the Armed Forces Covenant or GOV.UK websites.
