A recent article in Metro has highlighted some of the added pressures to relationships we are all under in these different times, as well as the potential benefits of video conferencing tools. Separation is often seen as a form of loss, which can lead to feelings of grief, which are often mixed. In the article, even couples who want to remain together have mixed feelings towards being confined and working from home, and such pressures are exacerbated where separating couples are forced to remain in the same household, as shown by the increase in domestic abuse.
For separating couples, mediation can be conducted very productively through video conferencing tools, and at Nockolds we have trained and experienced family mediators including Zen Thompson. Alternatively, if you feel that you need other forms of help, we have a team of experienced family solicitors who can assist quickly in advising on domestic violence, divorce, separation, financial and children issues.
To explore issues either in relation to mediation or legal advice, please contact our family solicitor and mediator Zen Thompson on zthompson@nockolds.co.uk or call 01279 712553.
